- Exclusively for riding a motorcycle: they usually wear protections and are the most common for driving on the road.

- Casual: they do not wear visible protections, but they will still protect us. Nobody will notice that it is a motorcycle pants, since they have a casual look. They look like simple jeans.

Another aspect to be important are the materials:

- The so-called “Cordura”: its fabric is made of polyester or nylon and its main advantages are its versatility and comfort. They have good breathability in summer and usually incorporate waterproof linings or membranes.

- Leather: it is a more sensitive material in extreme temperatures. In winter it is cold and in summer it is warmer. Their main advantage is the security they provide. This material is the most resistant to abrasion, but they are more uncomfortable, due to their weight and low elasticity.

- Jeans: they tend to be the most comfortable for daily use and for shorter journeys. They are usually intended for a more casual and urban use.

Also, can incorporate abrasion resistant fabrics such as aramid or Kevlar fibers, and they are also usually prepared to add protectors on the knees and / or hips, which must have European certification of level 1 or 2, depending on their security level.
