Although it may seem otherwise, summer jackets protect the rider by fighting the heat. They do so thanks to the micro-perforations that allow airflow to be generated inside the garment and, in this way, maintain their ability to resist impact and abrasion.

This is the main difference between a summer jacket and a winter jacket. The first has an easily identifiable grid. In fact, if it has perforated mesh, it means that it works for the summer. We can see this grid both in the front and the back. This is how it keeps the body ventilated and cool during the journey, to combat high temperatures, while still being protected.

At first glance it may seem that the winter jacket, being thicker and having more layers, can be safer and provide greater resistance to abrasion. But this fact does not mean that with a summer one we go unprotected.
